Part of choosing a
dental office is getting to know the backgrounds and credentials of the dentists and
staff. Doctors Thomas & Michele Atkinson have proven capabilities and an ongoing
commitment toward furthering their understanding of the latest advancements within their
industry. Each of them attends at least two major conferences per year and enrolls in at
least 50 hours of continuing education within the dental profession, including the New
York Dental Conference, Yankee Dental Congress (Boston), and the National conference of
the American Dental Association. They are members of the American Dental Association,
Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Valley District of the Massachusetts Dental Society.

Michele N. Atkinson
Dr. Michele N. Atkinson is
a 1982 Graduate of the College of the Holy Cross (Worcester), where she earned her B.A. in
Biology and Pre-Med. She also graduated, with honors, from the University of Connecticut
Dental School in 1988. She has won awards for oral diagnosis, operative dentistry,
restorative dentistry and periodontology. Her hobbies include golf, tennis, gardening and
sewing.
Dr.
Thomas Atkinson
Dr. Thomas Atkinson is a
1982 Graduate of Trinity College (Hartford), where he earned his B.S. in Biochemistry. He
also graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine (Farmington),
earning his D.M.D. degree in 1988. He served a residency at St. Francis Hospital
(Hartford) in 1989, training in extractions, root canals, crowns, dentures and gum
surgery. His hobbies include crew, tennis, golf, and fitness. Dr. Tom is also a sports
car, computer and audiophile enthusiast.
